Very nice! I like the consistent use of blues throughout and the complete absense of green as I might expect with a "forest" theme. The dark mood is communicated well. But what's that thing in the top left corner of the banner? I find it distracting.
Great colors and feeling behind this. There are not many good dark designs out in the wild - this will make a good addition.
Some feedback - the solid blue horizontal lines on the permalink page are quite numerous and jarring in a way. Any chance they could be softened, or replaced with a BG image that is in better keeping with the rest of the style?
The curly thing in the corner was from the original design, the header title and the description was supposed to be nestled against it, but I was having issues with changing the link colors in that particular area while remaining true to the base codes in the contest, so I moved the text to the bottom right instead. Unfortunately, I don't think I have a file saved that has the design layers so I don't think I can fix it without redoing the entire header again, though I will scour my computer and see, I will change it if I do, or if I can fix the text I'll replace it as well.
And as for the hoizontal lines in the permalink page, I will look into that and see if I can come up with any good changes.
